ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System
Through the ISO 22000 food safety we enjoy a robust food safety management system that governs our supply chain from product sourcing till delivery. With HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP Good manufacturing practice, we demonstrate a high ability to control food safety hazards and ensure that food is safe for consumption.
The HACCP is an internationally accepted technique for preventing microbiological, chemical and physical contamination along the food supply chain. The HACCP technique does this by identifying the risks, establishing critical control points, setting critical limits, and ensuring control measures are validated, monitored and verified. At OVO Egypt it is mandatory for all the product and quality control teams to acquire the HACCP training and certification.
GMP Good manufacturing practice governs our production from premises areas to equipment, packaging, storage, sampling, and laboratory testing for prevention of cross contamination throughout the production processes.
ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System
To meet our customers’ expectation and maintain the highest quality standard for process parameters, OVO Egypt implemented the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 standard as the main tool for our quality system.
BRC Food Safety Certificate
Being certified to the BRC Global Food Standard, we commit to the highest standards of food safety that ensures the quality of all our products through the different processes of production. Certification to BRC involves application of the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Processes and technologies employed in the manufacture of products and packaging are analyzed, as is compliance with statutory specifications concerning equipment and premises, product and performance and personnel qualifications. Risks are classified and the quality management system examined to ensure a uniform quality level and to document a high sense of responsibility.
In compliance with our continuous efforts to maintain food safety measures, our products have been accredited the Halal certificate and the license of Halal mark from the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS). Halal certification ensures the features and quality of our product range are following the rules established by the Islamic Council that allow the use of the mark Halal.
